Sound Travels Festival of Sound Art 2008
New Adventures in Sound Art, Toronto Island, Toronto, Canada, July 27 to Aug 31, 2008

Sound Travels brings sound art to the outdoors on Toronto Island in a way that entices the curious and provides a unique experience each and every year. Resident artists include Robert Normandeau, David Ogborn and Ellen Waterman. Other artists include Chantal Dumas, Barry Prophet, Robert Mulder/Kristi Allik, the team of Jennifer Schmidt, Colin Asquith and Terry Nauheim, Stefan & Laura Rose and Jørgen Teller. Installations will be open throughout the summer, performances are scheduled for July 25th, August 8th, 9th and 10th and the 2nd annual Toronto Electroacoustic Symposium will be August 7-8. St. Andrew-by-the-Lake Church on Centre Island will be the site for "Wish You Were Here" interactive Sound installation. Open to the public on Sunday afternoons 2-6pm.
